Meadow III print

from $16.00

I started painting “grass fields” in college while taking a weaving class. In weaving, horizontal weft yarns are interlaced up and over vertical warp yarns creating a continuous grid structure. Though thousands of threads are woven to create cloth, each thread remains as visible as the next. I wanted to apply this same methodology of weaving to painting by building a landscape through layering hundreds of brush strokes, creating textures that mimic rhythms in nature and woven patterns. Over time, painting these fields became a regular practice to explore color, pattern, and texture.

This is a giclée print. Giclée prints are museum grade prints made with archival pigments that can last up to 200 years without fading. This image is printed on archival 290gsm Moab Entrada Rag paper which is a textured fine art paper, made from 100% cotton fiber and is acid and lignin free.

This print will be professionally matted with a soft white museum grade matboard and will be ready to frame! Museum grade matboard is archival, made from 100% cotton fiber and is acid and lignin free.

The unmatted prints come with a conservation grade backing board that should kept with the print when framing as it is acid and lignin free and will protect and preserve the print.

*unmatted prints are formatted to fit standard frame sizes, some sizes require slight cropping of the original image, please see all images to view size variations
